The University of Jamestown out-hit Valley City State .375 to .011 Friday night as the Jimmies defeated Valley City State, 25-11, 25-19, 25-12 in Valley City.
Jamestown, receiving votes in the latest NAIA Top 25 Poll, improves to 14-10 overall and 9-1 in the North Star Athletic Association.
Valley City State drops to 7-18 overall and 2-9 in North Star play. The Vikings will host Dickinson State University on Saturday at 4 p.m.
Madison Wendel led the Jimmie attack with nine kills, while Heather Bachman had eight. Kaia Buck had 19 assists and Nicole Warren recorded 14 digs. Alaina Brown had four service aces.
Seri Geisler had six kills and Kanani Auwae recorded five kills for the Vikings. Taylor Balkan and Steph Miller each had nine assists, and Miller recorded three service aces. Jaycee George led the defense with 19 digs.
Jamestown had eight blocks and the Vikings recorded three blocks.
