HELENA, Mont. – Valley City State University volleyball freshman Kadie Kocka was named the Erck Hotels/Frontier Conference Attacker of the Week, the conference office announced Monday.

The Valley City native earned the honor after leading VCSU with 37 kills across three matches at the Bellevue Tournament. Kocka helped the Vikings post a 2-1 record with victories over Benedictine University Mesa and Benedictine College.

Kocka opened the tournament with 12 kills in VCSU's four-set victory over Benedictine Mesa. She followed with 12 kills and a .310 hitting percentage against Benedictine College before closing the weekend with a team-high 13 kills and a .250 hitting percentage against Grand View.

The hometown freshman averaged 3.08 kills per set during the tournament and reached double figures in kills in all three matches.
